It’s interesting that when you get rid of the traditional ducts in your HVAC system, you save a lot of energy, and that means money.That’s because it’s during compressor start-up in the traditional HVAC ducts that large amounts of energy are spent. It’s estimated that you lose as much as 25% or more energy to the ductwork. By removing the ducts and installing a ductless system, you get more efficient and economical usage. Ductless systems have inverter-driven compressors which speed up and slow down as the system demands it, rather than turning off the compressor altogether, therefore using less energy.

Typically, a ductless heat pump system comprises a wall-mounted, indoor unit with an outside compressor, requiring a very small hole to be drilled in the wall to connect them. That makes the system much less audible and visible as well as less vulnerable to air leakage and security problems.

Recently, homebuyers have been looking for heating systems that run efficiently in terms of indoor climate control as well as energy efficiency, and that’s why the market for ductless systems has been growing leaps and bounds. Of course, the value of homes increases with ductless systems in them, and the homes are easier to sell.

Studies have recently concluded that people are more interested in the practicality of having a home that functions well, rather than many cosmetic features.
